  1. The Bills have the longest current streak of making the playoffs in the NFL and they have nothing to show for it. Sorry man, they (The Lions) were 9-8 and missed the playoffs by a single play in any one of a handful of games. Holmes and Campbell have done nothing to shake my confidence. This is not a desperate move. Going for the sexy, flashy, has been, guy who knew offense back in 23' that has proven nothing more than that he knows how to destroy a locker room and culture is a SOL move. Just like Steve Mariucci and Mike Martz… No this is the right move, getting a young, up and coming coordinator that understands 13 personnel, who spent time with Kubiak, Stefanski, and comes from the same tree as Benedict Johnson. You know, the same scheme that is playing for the NFC Championship this coming week. All you hear about in Seattle and LA is how these teams run 13 personnel. This is where the NFL is going, I want the Lions to be where the NFL is going not where it has been. McDaniels is a has been move for has been fans that cannot move on from the past.

  2. I’ve cheated on you 101 times but you gotta give me chance to fix it but one more cheat won’t hurt, will it?! I agree with B, this hire determines Dans fire at the end of the 2026 season.

  3. To me, it sounds like the "brain trust of the Lions" have taken the team as far as they can go, which is the best the Lions have been for my entire 71 years. And, if this OC hire doesn't work the Lions are heading toward a rebuild after 2026/2027 to stay competitive with Green Bay and Chicago and possibly Minnesota, too. We have to accept Jared Goff IS a bridge QB. He's not mobile enough for the QB position. The upside of his lack of mobility is this protects him from injuries.

The Lions need to start looking to draft another Stafford-style QB. Then focus on both sides of the ball. The Lions need to get Goff to see he's important for the future of the Lions if he can transition into being our future QB coach for our rookie QB in 2028/2029. Goff has the rare and uniquely special skill of quickly reading defenses and adjusting on the fly. He can coach and mentor these skillsets into a mobile, rookie QB. The Lions must retain Frank Ragnow as our assistant OL coach. The Lions have a solid core. I would consider replacing the General Manager/HC after 2027 for a more ambitious leadership team. Our division is too competitive. If the Lions don't become more ruthless and ambitious the only thing this will do is ensure we have a lock on third or fourth place in our division.

  4. This OC selection is mediocre in comparison to many of the other available candidates out there. If you look at his coaching history it is not as deep as most others and actually Johnny Morton was more experienced than this new OC. To me the aspirations need to be the SB and if the Lions are not competitive in the fall and go deep into the playoffs for the SB Dan and Brad need to go because it is evident that they have a ridged perspective and want a certain kind of person and player. This guy is still developing and at this point we need somebody who is there. I understand he is good with the running attack but not with passing and other schemes.

  5. They were 7th in passing and 5 in rushing. Average 26 points a game. Arizona defense and special team were 29th. Offensei ended up at 12th. With a 1/4 of the talent. He runs first. Which Detroit got away from.. Miami Offense sucked.

  6. So, he matches everything which the Lions personnel provides and wants, and it doesn't require a completely new system and people hate it. Well, McDaniels is now the Chargers OC (he was never coming to Detroit), so get used to it.
