Alperen Sengun and Victor Wembanyama have faced each other 8 times. Here are their head-to-head averages:
Alperen Sengun:
20.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 5.3 APG, 1.8 SPG, 1.1 BPG 51% FG, 40% 3PT
Victor Wembanyama:
17.5 PPG, 11.5 RPG, 2.4 APG, 0.6 SPG, 3.4 BPG 42% FG, 16% 3PT
Rockets: 5/8 Wins
I'm not saying he's better, but we can say that he somehow knows how to counter him.

Two things –
1) Wemby still has issues with size / physicality. Sengun isn’t afraid of getting embarrassed where as some guys shy away for business decisions.
2) Rockets as a whole are set up with length to defend him as a team.
I am saying he’s better
Ok but let’s keep in mind it’s not Apli guarding him most of the time. We put big wings on him more often than not and have quite a lot of success doing so and have been as well equipped to do so as any team in the league really. As a team, we do a really good job guarding Wemby. On the other end of the court, Sengun does do a really good job against him
Wemby has struggled a lot with strong and physical players. Sengun has got that wide frame and very strong lower body to work him over on both ends of the floor.
This is just the beginning. I envision many more battles to come in the years ahead.
Giving me The Admiral (athletic freak) vs The Dream (crafty footwork) vibes.
