Well I mean if you look at it he had a wide open layup which is effectively like 1.99 expected points. A wide open 3 is like 1.5 points on average. So it saves them half a point each time they do it.

You can do that with certain players but Booker is not one of them…the Sixers have been fully collapsing and getting eviscerated by the three point attack. This plan of forcing them to shoot uncontested shots is clearly not working

I agree 100%, they over help way too much. The team is also not athletic enough to consistently do it at a high level. To be fair this is actually one of the less egregious examples of their over helping defense.
Watford had one in the 3rd quarter (maybe 4th), where he is helping into the middle of nowhere and left Grayson wide open for an elbow three. You could see it happening in slow motion as you watched Watford float down into the paint to help on a guy already guarded.
Yeah. Why do we keep shooting video in portrait mode???
The camera man missed the action happening offscreen so that we could see the top of the TV.
If you’re not gonna grab a screen lip, at least shoot in landscape so that we can see the play develop.
I never understood y teams including us do this.
This is what I don’t get. Those TOR defenses when Nurse was there were awesome. Guys flying around, playing team defense. Traps, constant communication, disciplined switches. No ball watching. Now our D sucks? wtf.
He walked away from Booker like he was Ben Simmons 💀
You need to score 3 pointers to win this game. It was the risk worth taking. 76ers were hesitant trying for 3 pointers.

He’ll never go a full quarter playing man to man.
My gf who just started watching basketball with me 3 years ago already knows that’s not the way to play effective defense, it leaves a 3 wide open. Sure you can help off Brooks, but stay on Booker for the love of God.
