Literally the worst call I’ve ever covered on this channel

We need to talk about this insane phantom call on Lane Hutson as we recap the Montreal Canadiens vs the Minnesota Wild. All that and more on today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. Hard to completely blame the ref on that one, his angle prevents him from seeing how far Hutson is from the player. He just happens to be at the absolute worst angle to make that penalty call. Any other angle would have allowed him to see what happened. I suppose you can blame him for being at the wrong angle but that’s mostly a tough break.

  2. Let’s not forget in the third period Hutson getting one for tripping and the replay showed he didn’t trip the player and during the pp Matheson got a tripping penalty for a very marginal call . The nhl is corrupt plain and simple and that corruption will never allow a Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup

  3. Another control by the referees, there's was another call on Huston in 3rd period against hutson in front of the net according to commentors, gally should've gotten a penalty instead. I think the referees were targeting Huston. Montreal could've lost that game because of the referees.

  4. its not always easy for a ref at this pace of hockey these days to call it but that was just a disgrace by that player he was the one should have got the penalty and kicked out of the game to send a message i love hickey but if this is what im going to be seeing s t f u

  5. Refs tried really hard last night, as they usually do against the Habs, but somehow they lost. You can’t say they weren’t creative!

  6. I think that after this case, the review or challenge should be possible for penalties..sometimes players can also fake their penalties which wasn't the case in this situation..

  7. In ref deffense, I cant understand why ref saw tripping, because from his fov it could look like this. (hutson was on line in front of falling wild player for the ref)

  8. We have the technology to watch plays back from multiple angles. There is no excuse for why they can't review non-major penalties.
