Luka gives up like 15 alone on defense and shais ability to just not turn the ball over is greatly underrated.

Luka is very turnover prone and stands around pouting when he makes one instead of getting back on defense. Kinda sad to watch at times because hes talented offensively but if things arent going his way he has no urgency and has bad body language.
Luka got a 2nd and 3rd option who averages 20+ and they still ass. Shai the real mvp
Shai lapped Luka in the 2024 playoffs imo

He’s dropping 40 a night cuz he gives up 50
Then show stocks, defensive rating, assist/turnover, win shares, EPM, and update the counting stats to per 36. Just the difference in the shooting % blows Luka out of the water.
Shai is way more efficient, turns the ball over way less, is a way better defender, has a lower usage rate so his team actually gets involved, and also barely scores less despite having less attempts, and less minutes per game. Shai absolutely clears Luka this season, they aren’t in the same tier of player anymore. Two seasons ago it was debatable, but this season and the last Shai is clearly better, especially this season the gap widened even more.
