Additionally, per Mark S. Marchment/lundestrom draw in tomorrow. Appears Voronkov is scratched.

  1. I’m confused why Vronk would get so little ice time. Is he not buying into the system? Not trying hard enough? I haven’t seen much discussion about this but his ice time and line assignments have gone way down.

  2. I know having a dog in the dog house is a common motivator for coaches, but it always feels contrived and spiteful to me. I hope Voronkov responds appropriately.

  3. Goes back to the first quote from the press conference. “Bring the compete we will bring everything else.” It’s not just about Xs and Os it’s about mentally and culture. Players have to be here to win.

    Edit: punctuation

  4. Can’t complain about any of this. I like seeing the coach trying to push these guys like this.

  5. I agree with the Vronny scratch. I love him as a player and personality but the fact is he is slow, he struggles with keeping possession of the puck and, and he gets stupid penalties.

  6. Where are the Captains in this? Boone seems to be getting softer as the years go on. (Yea, the Gordy, big deal) he doesn’t seem to have the bite to his game that he used to. A few of the other veteran guys are the same way. Coasting into their golden years and retirement.

  7. >Voronkov is scratched

I cannot understand why this keeps happening. Every coach we have has a whipping boy, even Torts never did this.
