How do you feel about this? Basically it says our only additions this trade deadline might be signing Barlow and Walker to regular roster spots. Of course, we’d have to trade someone away to open a roster spot. Do you like this idea or nah?

I like the Walker fit the best. Hit open 3s and strong rebounding. He doesn’t show it consistently.
Barlow is the most consistent but he’s not a modern PF. I don’t believe that 3 will ever come around.
Watford just confuses me dropping a triple double in his first start then playing poor and getting injured.
Oubre and PG are options depending on who is playing well at the end of the night. Especially when they have Maxey close with VJ and Grimes.
I don’t mind the PF by committee. But I don’t have the highest hopes for this season and I understand it’s the low hanging fruit

McCain isn’t getting traded at his lowest value.
The only move they will make is dumping Oubre ( who they should keep) to duck the tax. Maybe we get lucky and they dump Drummond and Gordon together instead
Don’t see any way we can significantly improve our roster without mortgaging our future.
I think we have decent enough depth at every position as it stands.
Only thing I could think of is a better backup PG now that McCain has been phased out.
Other than that, I dunno, a better backup big? Andre is one of the better backup C’s in the league. Big men who can rebound and provide the girth and tonnage that Dre does don’t grow on trees.
Let’s just roll with this roster and see how it goes. Major moves can wait till the offseason.

It just kind of makes sense. This team isn’t really one move away from a championship so it’s tough to give up assets.
We also don’t really have much to trade outside of picks. McCain has no value right now, Grimes has NTC, Oubre is expiring, Edwards hasn’t developed.
So if you’re giving up picks to get someone, it’s gotta be someone locked up on a good deal that fits the Maxey/VJ timeline. And that guy just isn’t on the trading block.
I honestly feel like Morey’s job could be automated by AI.
Would be nice if we actually improved the roster for the playoffs.
They’re going to trade Oubre, Drummond or both to lower the luxury tax hit. They could also attach Gordon, Lowry and 2nd rnd picks in an effort to duck the tax.
I know someone’s going to get hurt at the most inconvenient time, but it would be cool if we just pushed our chips in and went for it. Although, I guess given our few moveable contracts not like we could actually get anything as of now
