Being that the sox wanted Acuna/Vientos and two more prospects just at last years trade deadline its obvious literally no one else was going to take on this money for him. I can't find a single negative about this as a Mets fan. His very bottom of the floor is better than anything we had in CF last year and we gave up Acuna who wasn't going to play on this team this year with no options left. Roberts ceiling moving away from Chicago is pretty high in a lineup where he can hit at the bottom of the order with no pressure of having to be "the guy". Great trade.
Sox had to dump a 20+ million salary to spend more when they already had a very low team salary?!?!? What a joke of a franchise.

You can't show highlights of the guys you got back for Robert because you gave him away. At least they could have gotten some good penny candy back. But I'm glad they traded him now

Iโm a die hard white sox fan every team goes through a tough time but the Sox have a lot of talent coming their way just a matter of time until they start turning things around go sox
Mets fan here. Acuรฑa is a really fun player with a ton of upside. Heโs fast as lightning, explosive, and a great defender. Heating up this winter barreling the ball too. I wish him and you guys the absolute best.
