  1. Great trade for both teams. Sox fan here. Robert is going to be good for them. Acuna is a better batter than Robert was at his age. Acuna is younger and not as injury prone. This frees up cash to sign Louis Arraez. And hey we are going to win this year!

  2. Happy hes gone. Go be an underperforming diva somewhere else. Mets fans, he will do wonders for you on the IL after pulling a hamstring when he finally tries to run out a grounder

  3. Robert stole 33 bases last year and hit 38 HR's a couple of years ago. Add gold glove defense which no one even mentioned…. this is a very good move for the Mets. With a little luck with his health and a change of scenery, this can be the steal of the off-season.

  4. as a white sox fan, i’m both sad to see him go but honestly think it was time to move on. the final piece of our 2020-2021 playoff squad is gone. he had a great season in ‘23 and deserved accolades, but since then, he has not performed nearly to the same level. two seasons below .225 BA. absolute strikeout machine. suboptimal OPS. he can be great in the outfield and on the basepaths, but in the end, he hasn’t had a season like ‘23. sox fans have been waiting for a “breakout year” where he will win MVP, but that year hasn’t come. if it does with the mets, i’ll be incredibly happy for him, but with the sox, it was time for both him and the team to move on, and that’s okay. best of luck to him, and i hope the return for him in luisangel garcia and truman pauley are worthwhile. low risk, high reward for the mets. good trade for both squads IMO.
