lol a bit late for that
FINALLY! I’ve been sitting here utterly offended for MONTHS!
What ?? What is the point of doing that in January…
Fuck
I’d be more concerned if there were no coarse language used after that
I take it they were forced to issue this by the CRTC.
I can finally turn the channel off. I’ve had it on since the game and was waiting for this!
What the fuck for?
What even was it? I don’t remember lol
About fucking time! Fuck! Look what that night fucking did to me!
“Risk” is a strong word
Rogers pinning all the language on Bo Bichette and claims that’s why they didn’t bring him back so that they avoid a CRTC fine.”
“42m a year? Of course we’d pay that for him! But the language…We made the call to not have him back because of that. It’s all Bo’s fault!”
CRTC complaint, only reason they’d do this
If you really think about it…
It’s u/JustSomeAudioGuy s fault
/S
You know what? I completely forgot about the cursing that took place. I think it was Springer that did it in an interview? I also think John did it when he gave the celebratory speech for winning the ALCS in the locker room.
It’s about time they fucking apologize. Fucking classless that it took them this fucking long to do the fucking right thing.
I always find things like this amusing. The other day I swore at a restaurant with friends, and they noted to me there was kids at the table behind us. (I didnt see them)
Of course im not going to blame them or Sportsnet for something like this, as its just common courtesy, and Im of the belief that we should make an effort to leave the world better than we found it.
But with the way the world is today, kids (and people in general) are often subjected to infinitely worse things upon opening any social media app.
This is beyond pathetic. If people are by chance still offended by this, seek help. To anybody spending time and resources policing this, spend that time on an actual problem that currently exists in the world.
i think we all swore that day
Start spreading the news, bitches. Rogers got in trouble.
Nothing screams Canadian broadcasting more than a three month post-dated “sorry”
and here I am still waiting for an apology about Buck’s phone going off during games
“Before we had the opportunity to advise audiences of the risk”
Which would go something like – “listen up snowflakes. There is a good fucking chance that you cunts are going to hear some foul language. So be fucking warned”
Soft.
Well for fucks sake I am glad they fucking fuck fuck apologized in case any fuckface gave a fucking fuck. Go Jays!!!!

Nothing special:

The regulator that is responsible is not the CRTC but the CBSC.
Full decision regarding a similar case:

They need to apologize for the apology.

What a nice reminder of a great run.
