Just move Donavan for pitching. Be done. The dewitts and bloom are not spending until the strike is over. Its that simple and brilliant
The Dodgers after signing Kyle Tucker just DFA'ed Michael Siani. If you just want someone who can play the position for April until Nootbaar gets back then you can DFA yourself then Siani could be an option. He's not much of a hitter but he can field any of the OF positions.
Sign him for 3 years and trade him after one.
If Donnie isn't traded by the time spring training starts in 22 days, keep him and wait for the trade deadline. Then you have him in the OF and don't need to add a righty bat this year. Don't undersell on Donovan. If no one wants to pay his value, keep him. Extend him. Also not a bad outcome. Maybe Baez is ready in 2027. Maybe it turns out Walker and/or Gorman aren't it and you can trade them for righty bat prospects or pitching in 2027. Agree we should go with Fermin or Saggese or Herrera before we pay 6-8mil for a veteran righty bat for 1 year.
Bloom himself said he was interested in adding a right handed hitting outfield bat with power and both of those fit the bill and have power against lefties so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they have or are talking to them

Heyman is a tool and is rarely right.
Pedro Pages may never have higher trade value. We have multiple other choices. Let Herrera catch as much as possible,Gorman needs to DH, so Saggese gets his runway with JJ. Donovan complicates it even more if he is not traded.
