  1. So the Sox traded (when healthy) a 5 tool player for another middle infielder that is a mediocre hitter, and a pitcher who will never pitch in the majors. Getz's worst trade by far.

  2. The one good thing I'll say the Sox did was fool mlb teams and fans into thinking these players are only bad because of the white Sox. They think they'll get better once they're out of Chicago. But they're just bad players, how did the change of scenery work for eloy, abreu, Anderson, moncada. Vaughn had a good month in Milwaukee but I'm not convinced he's a different player. The white Sox have had their issues, which i think are changing but these guy are bad players because they're bad and constantly injured.

  3. Every Strikeout in the ML is the Most Humbling Experiece for a Hitter . The Ones who have that Natural Talent Can Overcome that as a Frequent Accurence by Mentally Concentrating on Every AB they get just a Little Bit More . Sometimes that is All it takes . I just Hope as a Met Fan Robert Junior can Accomplish that playing in a Major Market now .

  4. Pete Varney, a catcher out of Harvard, was a 1st round pick of the Sox in the June, 1971 draft. He had a few looks at the big league level between 1973 and 1976. Pauley would then be at least the 2nd Harvard grad to play in the Sox organization.
