Defensive coordinator Brian Flores has signed a contract extension with the Vikings. If he does not receive a head coaching job this cycle, he will be back as the team’s defensive coordinator.

    I really don’t know what we are doing at DC. I’m surprised Morris hasn’t come in.

  8. I never thought Flores was a realistic possibility for Washington, but now I’m struggling to think of someone that would be a great hire. I’m also a little concerned that we could be looking at a new coaching staff this time next year and I’d hate for JD to have a 3rd OC going into his 4th season.

  9. We’ll end up signing some lame duck as our DC and then DQ will be fired by mid season this year. Then we reset all over again and the Washington cycle continues of trying to find any possible direction for the organization whole can’t seems to make any of the obvious possible moves or hires.

  14. Because money almost always is the the tipping point, I’ll go ahead and figure the front office was not prepared to make Flores the top paid DC in the league.

    But be on the look out for Art Rooney to make an offer and Flores to take the best long term coaching job in the NFL.

  17. Pretty expected but damn, wondering who they’ll end up getting, I’m really hoping our defense can elevate to at least top 25 with a new dc.

  20. Wasn’t realistic but would have been nice.

    Hard to leave Minny for this motley bunch on defense, especially with DQ looking possibly like a lame duck coach.
