With the departure of Freddy here’s our question for the next 5 years

  1. Lol it’s not random shit. Calculated decisions including timely trades, good scouting, and then most importantly good coaching/development. I would prefer to keep our best players and pay them a lot, just not the reality of the org unfortunately. Not sitting here defending Attanasio by any stretch either.

  2. We’ll have Woody and Priest in 2025, and probably Henderson and Patrick. They’re probably hoping Gasser is back to normal. So, that covers off 2025.

  3. Freddy was gone after this year, I don’t get what the big fuss is all about, this is just like Burnes. He already signed his extension here and rarely do pitchers sustain or get better after 30.

  4. This is silly. The approach seems very logical. Let’s think about what they have now and what’s coming.

    Now:

    Locks – Woody, Miz, Priester

Fighting for spots: Patrick, Gasser, Henderson

    Depth: Rodriguez, Crow

Arms that could be transitioned: Hall, Ashby

    Next wave: Sproat, Letson

A couple of years from now: Meccage, Thompson, Hardin, etc.

Can we stop pretending the team doesn’t have depth and a plan just because a guy we all like got moved?
