[Gleeman] Reporting along with @Ken_Rosenthal: Twins are reuniting with former All-Star closer Taylor Rogers on a one-year, $2 million contract. Logical fit for both sides, as the 35-year-old Rogers returns home to the team that drafted him and the Twins add some much-needed bullpen help.

  1. I would imagine Rogers goes to set up, Funderburk as a middle reliever.

Prielipp will be starting the year at AAA you would imagine

Closer is still up in the air IMO

I dont love it as the numbers scare me. But i dont mind it at all. And its a nice nostalgia hit

  2. “Sign a bunch of AAAA FAs and old men to fill out the roster, but when the fan base gets mad about those, we will sign special coaches and more old players but those who used to play for the Twins when the team wasn’t awful… this way we might still sell a few tickets and jerseys through a couple familiar faces while still fielding the shittiest team in MLB”

  3. Probably limited real options and sees it as a chance to show he has some gas left in the tank and get flipped to a contender at the deadline.

I like this move,  still won’t get me back to the ball park however.

  4. I mean, good, but why did you ship everyone off if you were just going to turn around and pay free agents?
