2004- Johnny Damon grand slam Game 7 ALCS

DAVID ORTIZ! DAVID ORTIZ! DAVID ORTIZ! And Jackie Bradley Jr. lol
04 – Damon GS. That was the moment I really started thinking “holy shit, it’s happening.”
07 – Beckett performance in ALCS G5 or Drew home run
13 – DAVID ORTIZ! DAVID ORTIZ! DAVID ORTIZ!
18 – Sale closing it out
That Victorino grand slam was great but I don’t know how anyone could put anything over Papi’s grand slam. That was probably the greatest sports moment I’ll ever witness.
Not my favorites and not a lot of on field stuff but moments I think about a lot –
’04 – Tim Wakefield gives up the Game 4 start to save the bullpen in the game 3 massacre
’07 – Cleveland’s national anthem singer cancels (some no name, Taylor Swift, I think I’m saying that correctly) so they replace her with Josh Beckett’s ex-gf to play mind games. Beckett shoves it up their ass with 8 innings of 1 run ball and the ’07 Red Sox never lose another game.
’13 – Ortiz’s dugout pep talk in the World Series. You almost never see that in baseball.
’18 – Sale, Price, and Porcello walk into Cora’s office after game 3 and all volunteer to pitch on short rest (no rest in Porcello’s case) to pick up Eovaldi.
2004: Last out of the ALCS. What’s better than seeing sad Yankee fans? Rule 3
2007: Matt Holliday getting picked off of first.
2013: Papi’s grand slam, obviously.
2018: Benny’s game-ending catch in Houston, which I still believe is the greatest defensive play in Red Sox history.
The final out for all four. I didn’t actually see it on TV in 2004 (I was outside of Fenway for that one). But saw the final out for the other three.
Dave Roberts stealing 2nd base, Game 4, ALCS, 2004.
The spark that lit the fuse for the next 15 years of, IMHO, the most enjoyable era of Red Sox baseball
Honorable Mention to Machado becoming “The K” as Sale struck his bitch mark trick ass out to win the 2018 WS.
2004: Rivera tripping over while trying to catch Mueller’s hit and watching the ball roll on as the lead is blown, ALCS G4
2007: “Thanks for flying my friend out to watch the game for free” – Josh Beckett, ALCS G5
2013: The cop in the bullpen, ALCS G2
2018: Chris Sale yelling at everyone in the dugout, WS G4
2004 – Foulke sealing the deal
2007 – How Sweep it is…
2013 – Uehara sealing the deal
2018 – Puig with his hands on his head after the Moreland HR after raiding his hands when he hit the HR off E Rod
2013 by a lot. I’ll never love another team more. Vic slam still on my desktop
That Damon grand slam was great but how is that a better moment than Dave Roberts stealing second? That guy must have the biggest balls on earth. Everybody knew he was going and he was like “throw me out mother fuckers, try it”.

JBJ’s ALCS MVP series was so rad.
