Good lord, making us wait all day for videos today.
Development starts in drafting and coaches in the minor league system, it's an organizational issue that starts with "the fail-vey's" leadership.
The Twins 40 man roster is full, the organization can send Gray to St Paul but Twins have to DFA another player to make room on the roster for signing of Taylor Rogers. The Twins still need to pick up another Bullpen arm, now you want to bring up Jenkins to the majors. The Twins need to open up three spots on the 40 man roster, that doesn't include the issue the Twins have carrying three catchers. So when will "the Fail-vey" trade Ryan Jeffers and Trevor Larnach or will "the fail-vey" DFA players he traded promising prospects to get?
Give me Walker Jenkins for 90 days. I can put 20-30lbs of muscle on the kid and show him how to keep it or get bigger.
Twins suck anyways let the young guys play everyday. Stop platooning all the time and never giving players the chance to grow and learn how to hit the other armed pitchers. Cant have a team full of platoon guys that are in and out of the lineup. Help them figure out how to get it done. I would rather watch a ton of young guys than a bunch of guys who shouldn't even be in the majors.
Whomever allowed Wallner to make it to the majors with that God awful swing has failed to do their job. His path to the ball and happy gilmore swing is going to be his downfall. Dude is big as hell he doesn't need all that leg kick. Open your hips up as you swing. He's gonna be another Rob Deer type. Hit a bunch of homers almost all with no one on base and doesn't produce a lot outside of that. Dude will have 30 HRs and 55 RBI. Its maddening. Dude tries to swing out of his shoes every at bat. Control the bat and hit the damn ball and put it in play big boy.
Remember when the Twins drafted Travis Lee #2 and failed to make him an offer and lost him to Arizona? Classic Twins move.
Jenkins is definitely our best prospect since Buxton. The top 5 prospects are loaded right now too with Konnor Griffin and Kevin McGonigle with Wetherholt and Made up there too. I think a lot of other years Jenkins would be in the top 3.
Jenkins will not play until that magic June date so they can keep him an extra year. It’s been the classic rookie treatment for years, they don’t teach them but rather treat them.
Minnesota's track record of picking in the top 10 of the draft over the last 45 years is terrible.
People forget how big of a prospect royce was.
Nick Gordon was another guy who was a big time prospect.
We can talk prospects and their potential until we're blue in the face but what this boils down to is that i AM 100% NOPED OUT ON THE Pohlads and Fail-vey. I have zero interest financially supporting this franchise so long as they are there. the pohlads are like the abusive partner who promises they will change for you, makes a couple of hallo gestures to give you hope, only to revert right back to what they are. this franchise dismantled all momentum and good will in record time in the interest of short sighted savings. this ownership used the franchise as their personal piggy bak, drove it into the ground financially, invested as little as possible. cried poor and demanded a new stadium on the tax payer dime promising to compete only to reveal in short order that was a load of crap. I really dont not care if these young guys are exciting, if they somehow begin to win, in a very weak division, despite ownership and front office best efforts. i simply refuse to come back util a new ownership and front office proves to me they are invested in building a culture of competence and competitiveness.
I have put up with a lot from this onwrship in my 40 years, and i kept coming back time and time again but after the '23 season, i JUST FINALLY HAD ENOUGH. No amount of good will or attempt to take it back will repair the damage they have done, and this offseason is further indication that they plan on more the same, all they did what change out a few names but the philosophy and lies remain the same.
you guys can get excited all you want, you can go to the stadium cash in fist all you want but i WONT FALL FOR THAT RUSE. I am holding out hope they break another record for low attendance, I would be tickled pink to hear of that stadium being a ghost town night after night.
Any decent addition to this team or decent player curretly on this team i only see as a piece to be moved at the deadline. nothing to get invested in as a fan.
