[Matt Matera] Soon to be former #Bucs RB Rachaad White was on Instagram live before answering some comments. He did mention:

“I didn’t leave the Bucs. The Bucs left me.” As he laughed after

  1. I get the sentiment, but this and glazing Canales in the loaded cannons interview (arguing that Canales year 2 would have been better than Coen) makes me think he’s really most comfortable as a bellcow rather than in a 2+ back system and that the reduced role really did bother him from the get-go.

Tough, but moving on is the best strategy for both parties.

  2. I really like Rachaad a lot, but the Bucs need to move on. I wish him well wherever he ends up.

  3. He’s going to look pretty good picking up blitzes and catching short passes in KC next year.

  4. He’s a great RB2 or committee back but a subpar RB1. He wants to be RB1

I wish he would stay, i loved the dichotomy between him and Bucky, but it’s just not gonna work out i guess

  5. I like him and wish they’d re-sign him but doesn’t look Ike that’s happening now.

    One Tyler Allgeier, please.

  6. Bucky just passes the look test in a way that White doesn’t. White wants to be a feature back, understandably, but he’s not that guy. 2 yards on 1st and 10 isn’t doing it. Buckys rookie year he just looked better, faster, shiftier, for a lack of a better words. Explosive. I had whole conversations about wishing the Bucs utilized Bucky more and White less, and that was apparent to everyone I talk to. He’s looking for a load bearing role, but ultimately he’s a nice complimentary piece, if he was truly a lead back then he would have got carries. The fact that Bucky came in and took the starting job from him is all you need to know.

  7. He admitted it himself in that last interview, but he really didn’t take well that Bucky stole his job.

  8. I feel like the Bucs did him a little dirty this season.

They claimed they were gonna “ride the hot hand” but continued feeding Bucky despite the fact that Rachaad was getting more yards per carry. Rachaad averaged more YPC than Bucky in 4 of their last 5 games, and the one he didn’t (final Panthers game) they tied with 3.3.

The Falcons loss is a great example. They gave Rachaad ONE CARRY (in the 1st quarter), which resulted in a 20 yard gain, and then proceeded to not give him another carry…WTF?

  9. He’s already said he wants to play with jayden Daniel’s in Washington. They played together at ASU.

  10. I liked Chaad, but I think there’s a pretty big gap between how good he actually is and how good he thinks he is. He had 4 years here.

  11. Rachaad gives me Ronald Jones vibes. Best of luck in your future endeavors, big dawg.

    Bucky and Sean Tucker time.

  12. I can get his view, Bucs did leave when they hired Bowles. White is good if the line is good, hopefully he gets someplace good and has another chance. But Sean tucker outperformed him and so did Bucky.

  13. He is just mad that he got outshined by Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker.

Bye Rachaad!! Don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!!!! Best of luck to you in your NFL endeavors. 🙄

  14. Bucky had a bad, injury riddled year but white is only better than him in pass protection so I don’t think he’s a loss regardless of what a lot of other people think. He is a solid receiving back but Bucky is just as good out of the backfield or even better and his ability to make people miss in space is leagues above white. White takes too long to find a hole in the run game and barely can get past the first guy in front of him 90% of the time. The only reason we used him in short yardage is that he’s a much bigger back than Bucky but he is not a power back at all so I’ve never understood the value in him, again, outside of pass pro, which is needed but we could decently replace through the draft or even a cheap veteran back that can be serviceable if Bucky gets hurt again. Let some other team pay him low end starter money on a proven it deal but I don’t think it’s worth it for us

  15. He was a RB1 and then got injured and a rookie came in and he lost his job.

I understand why he’s angry or bitter about it but thats the NFL. Its a competitive league and your spot is not guaranteed.

  16. White acting like he was a premier back when he couldn’t run more than 2.8 AVG yards and certainly not between the tackles. I had high hopes for him early on but it was evident that he was nothing more than a committee back with some flashes in the open field.

  17. I like White. He played hard for us. But he isnt a RB1 and i understand that we cant pay him what he needs.

We have Bucky, and we have Tucker and Williams. Thats better than most teams have

  18. Love Rachaad. I think he’s going to make a team very happy this off-season. Shame he’s leaving Tampa though
