  1. To be expected at least he retired before the season started. He was amazing for us..Enjoy your retirement big man rest up.

  2. I still wonder what would’ve been if nfl referees weren’t no talent assclowns and that TD made it in the final score.

  3. That shot of him puking in the locker room will be my favorite memory of him. Gave it his all. Have fun in retirement!

  4. He could be a good coach. Players that lack talent, or have a fatal flaw like lack of speed and mobility, need to be smart and understand the game in order to be a serviceable player like Skip did. It’s amazing how long his career lasted, and how many NFL games he played considering he can’t move at all.

  5. End of an era. Frank is gone, Skipper is gone, maybe decker not far behind. Enjoy retirement big fella.

  6. I will always love that man for the great few years he got to play a big role for us. That Washington game in 2022 was awesome and it was great seeing him get some love in the locker room. Everything after that from him has been fun. I’ll miss him

  7. NOOOO!!!!! He can’t retire yet. He needs to wait until the draft to retire. Didn’t he learn anything from Frank!?

On a serious note, I’m happy for him and I’m glad he’s retiring on his own time and not forced to retire. He’ll be a great coach. Would be awesome to see him (if he wants) be a coach for the Lions 😀

  8. I hope he comes back as a Coach for us. I want to see him get a ring with Detroit one way or another.

  9. Probably the most memorable back up offensive lineman I can remember. I know I’ll never forget his time here. Cheers to Skip on fighting his way into a great, memorable career.

PS He didn’t say a fucking word.

  10. Have to think we could make him an offensive quality control coach or some type of generic offensive assistant even if the OL coach and assistant OL coach spots aren’t open. He could specialize immediately in helping out with our heavy personnel looks where an extra OL is on the field.

  11. Manu doesnt seem ready to take over for decker. But maybe he can at least play the Skipper role.

That would be nice at least.

  12. We need to get an OT even more now. Skip wasn’t a world beater but he was an adequate backup who could fill in as needed. Now we need to replace both Decker (probably) and Skip.

  13. Man I wish he had a press conference. Might have been the highest rated presser in a long time. Probably the only career rotational linemen to ever have one and I’m here for it.

  14. * a part

Seriously though, Skipper, thanks for reporting to our ship, and for retiring a Lion.

Now keep doing whatever you’re doing over there!
