8. Hey I’m just happy that this was clearly not a Jerry Jones hire. This has shottys name all over it which is different then what we’re used to seeing. Atleast Jerry is showing some restraint in getting old coaches with experience that are outdated.

11. The one aspect you guys didn't talk about is how the levels of the defense are married to one another. Why was Patrick Surtain a Pro Bowler? Whay was Quinyon Mitchell and Copper DeJean Pro Bowlers? Because both teams had a pass rush and LB cores that made coverage simpler. When you have an All Pro or Pro Bowl DE and DT on the same side as t he CB in coverage, you will have an easier coverage responsibility. Dallas has neither, so any expectation on teaching DB play is a fallacy and fans are being mislead.

19. I disagree with Jesse . The bar for the defense has been set so low that all he has to do is get us to middle of the pack and we are good. That defense last year gave up 30 a game. That is atrocious!

21. This is a Schottie hire, and just like it was his first year as a head coach, as a fan I trust his process and decision. Schottie wants change, wants to win now but also win for years to come! Finally Jerry is softening up to allowing his coach make a choice like he allowed Jimmy Johnson run the show and they won 3 Super Bowls. The wallet will open up during free agency as well! Let’s Go! 25. I like the hire of Parker, I don’t love it. I feel that D Jones would have been the better choice. I say that for two reasons. 1. Parker and Jones are pretty much the same person. However, Jones has done that same type of job that Parker has but with less talent to work with. Parker had dudes on defense both in Denver and in Philadelphia. 2. Jones has called plays as a DC before at LSU. Parker hasn’t called any plays at any level. For those reasons I would have loved to see Jones get the job. He is going to be a star in a DC role when he gets the opportunity. Oh I have a 3rd reason why I would have picked Jones over Parker, Dak never had trouble with that Eagles defense. However, verse the Vikings this year, Dak and the offense was shutdown especially in the 2nd half…The Parker hire was a good hire but D. Jones would’ve been a better choice.

I’m sure he’s capable like anybody in that position if he has something to work with…Eberflus was a scapegoat for poor team construction. I’d like the cowboys to explore trading Dak for Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson both who want a change of scenery and their contracts would practically be a wash with 2 play off victories in 10 years Dak
