Jordan Schultz NFL Insider on Browns head coach search news
The Browns believe they have a roster filled with young, future stars, along with established talent. The sense is their preference is to go young, if they believe the right candidate is available. They don’t want to force it.

  1. talk about addressing the obvious elephant in the room(no disrespect Mr. Brown (Paul) who continues to haunt this historic franchise!!!!!! Everything this franchise does is unfootballesq!!!!!!!! Give the Legend his just do , or continue to seek validation of legitimacy !!!!!! Not sure ? look at the franchise since he no longer ran the team!!!!!!! no team in any sports has faced such utter buffoonery……The Ravens since changing their ties to the legend = success !!!

  2. # FACTORY OF SADNESS >>>Just go for Todd monken if its still there for HC and there doesn't seem to be anyone that wants to be here that's obvious. The only issue I see with that is if the promote our defensive guy then its going to try and find a defensive guy and hope the defense doesn't fall from decent to joe woods Swiss cheese can't stop anything. & what if Schwartz wants to have another quarterback in the room there are so many what if's we should just go for either udinski or scheelhaase and if possible both of them. Yes this is another rebuild lets not make it worse than it already is and we haven't even made any mention of a special teams coach that's another garbage landfill in itself.

  3. Of the entire Browns organization there are only three people who exhibit grown man maturity – Schwartz, Shedeur and Berry. With the young and talented core drafted last year and the chance to repeat this year, why upset the progress by bringing in a strange HC that may or may not fit. With Schwartz, that is a non-issue. Promote from within, excite the entire coaching staff, hire a new OC & DC for the Browns. With all the firings going on this year, there should be many highly qualified OC & DC candidates. Then build around Shedeur, deep Oline, WR's, TE's, etc. Next year, blow up and go from last to first. Shalom family.

  4. Why would you want one of those kids as the HC. Being the HC and oc at the same time. Been there done that . To much on the plate. Both of those guys are going to want to call plays, because they haven't had much of a chance calling plays where there at currently. Schwartz would be your best option as HC. Then you could see if he would go along with one of those youngsters getting an opportunity to finally get to call plays. You no Schwartz isn't going to call plays.

  5. I'm so tired of hearing about Baker. He stinks. He couldn't lift Joe Thomas' jock strap. Joe is HOF all day. Baker and Stefanski couldn't even sniff the HOF. You're only as good as your last season. The Browns didn't make the playoffs, neither did Baker. Browns are coming for blood in 2026.

  6. Jim Schwartz has more experience than any body in that building of knowing what a good oc is and should be for the team. Especially one that can move the chains and work well with his defense. Move the chains , score points in short field opportunities. And give his defense rest when needed.

  7. i agree. i would put shwartz in and have him choose his oc. it is command decision time and no d#$king around. that is the way to build a strong franchise identity.

  8. Newsflash: Schwartz is not the reason our defense performed well. If we lose him, we lose him. Oh well. We'll find someone else who our defenders will make look good, as long as they're halfway competent. The retread is going to be a mistake. Even IF he does do well, we don't have him for years to come. Go young with high upside.
