Definitely need a reliable defensive minded center. Kid has upside. Get him and Alvarado. Hate to say it but Mitch wants more money than we can give him esp w the injuries.
Our options:
Lose him for something (trade for this kid + Jose Alvarado)
Ride the year out and lose him for nothing
Missi is a beast and would be a good addition at center
Everybody wants Saddiq Bey but if you’re NOLA you ain’t giving him for cheap. He’s a great player and the only replacement for Zion when he’s out (and he’s out all the time)

The only option we have for this to work is to take on Zion’s contract if they’re still trying to shed it. They’re going to hang up in our face if all we’re offering is our role player for theirs.

Realistically I feel like Mitch would have to go. It’d make sense with him being an expiring contract and we’d probably lose him this FA. I love Mitch and don’t want him to leave. Missi would be an awesome long term replacement though.
The only way I see this happening is if we are moving Mitch and money wise this is the only way I could figure it going through and even then I really don’t understand why the Pelicans would take this tbh.
I’d give up Deuce/washington pick + filler if we could get Bey, Alvo and Missi back
