“It’s not a surprise that Shough was named as a finalist after helping to turn the season around for the franchise in 2025. The 26-year-old made nine starts for the Saints and went 5-4 while throwing for 2,256 yards with 10 touchdowns, five interceptions, 174 rushing yards, and three rushing touchdowns. At the time Shough was installed as the team’s starting quarterback, the Saints were 1-7 on the season with very little hope. They finished the campaign 6-11 overall, including wins over the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and look like they can be a threat in the division in 2026.”

  8. Man at +4500 I keep trying to find excuses for him to win but it’s soooo hard. He beat Carolina twice, the organization as a whole was set for doom by analyst. Which is a huge factor, because he earned the job, and beyond doubt had elevated every player in that locker room. Tough because he didn’t play the whole season. I think they give it tetra simply because panthers have been so bad and they some how made it to the wildcard.

  21. Facts! Everyone though Sough was trash. I know from watching his college highlights. I saw a qb that could make it the nfl. And to come in to a team and fan base that has lost all hope. And crunk Everyone up and go us believing in the tean again. Yeah that guy deserves the oroty award.

  22. Stats aside, who schooled who when the Saints played the Panthers? Can someone point out to me the game changing plays in which McMillan put his team on his back & spiritually catapulted them to a winning 2nd half of the season record? I don't recall it. After his mulligan first game against the rams, Shough led his 1-8 football team to a respectable 6-11. When you consider he was surrounded by super young talent & vagabond FAs with most of his O. line sidelined. This kid wasn't just good. He was showing the start of something very special. Now this team needs to give him weapons like an incredible top flight inside outside runner who can catch screens line up in the slot, line up wide & use his 4.3 speed 220 pound body to destroy other teams hopes & dreams. Also known as Brother Jeremiah Love. Then Elijah Sarat in the 2nd round.
