Thanks JK! Always enjoy seeing you and Nicki together!!
We are a year short of replacing DC, defense was bad last year. With a 5-12 record, DQ seat warming up, some 3 dozen players to replace/re-sign, inexperienced OC and oline coach, additional needs on offense; and not many high DPs it will be hard to get a good, vet DC to come here. They need to start trying to sign DCs to see if there is an issue and we have to go with Al Harris or Karl Scott. Too many open HC and DC positions with teams that either have better HC/personnel situations. My issue with Al Harris is he depends on turnovers; he gives up a lot of yards and points, which we already have as an issue.
Love what you do.
Nikki Blahblahblahblah I can do without.
A risk to wait for Mike McDaniels???Because he’s being sought after by multiple teams?! He’s being sought after because he’s a proven offensive mind, while we hired a guy who’s never called a play in his life. The latter is the bigger risk.
And, suspect that our new owner, who raised my season ticket prices by 60% in the first two years (to pay for stadium upgrades?!) is trying to save money, as he did last year by giving up draft picks and not paying for proven free agents.
He and Adam peters were looking for bargains, and the product on the field showed they got what they paid for, while losing multiple draft picks.
DQ might as well run his defense and keep it moving, this is pathetic! Good teams know who they want and get him, or at worst their 2nd pick.
Quinn is likely gone after 2026 so a new coordinator will have to accept that type of change. This franchise has a long history of terrible drafting and developing players so there’s that too.
I’m surprised that everyone never mentions Adam Peters as reason for the problems with this team. Everyone can agree that this team is ridiculously low on talent. It’s his job to acquire talent. His first two draft classes were horrible. Free agents were plucked from the bargain bin or had one year of shelf life left. I’m not even going to mention Javon Kinlaw. Trade results were uneven. Marshon Lattimore was horrible from day one. He might even have some buyers remorse after he meets Laramy Tunsil’s demands. Like a lot of these teams firing head coaches the GM stays when they are just as guilty if not more than the coach that got fired.
So people don't want to come be our DC because they know our roster sucks and they know DQ is on the cusp of being fired. They know Adam Peters didn't do a good job assembling a roster. This has all the makings of this season being a complete dumpster fire
Karl Scott Karl Scott Karl Scott!
If Dan Quinn was available, he would have been #1 choice for defensive coordinator. 😂😂
When I was young, the difference in coaching quality was apparent. Tom landry, bill walsh, parcells, etc. Nowadays, for a variety of reasons , i dont think there is as much of a difference between one guy and the next. (Im trying to imagine joe gibbs going to a coaching conference with all of his rivals and teaching them the fundamentals of his offense in 1984, like these coaches do today) Karl scott, raheem morris, al harris, gannon….it doesnt make THAT much of a difference to me. Who they get to play is all i really care about….at least for now. Modern nfl is a lot different.
Trust the process and go skins!
Blough.'s .conection with 5 is paramount.
Im sure the Interviewing DC would ask those questions about longevity of the head coach
Adam is being exposed BIG TIME
