1. Hey from Alabama DK! Been listening and watching for a year or two now! I was wondering what you think about trying out Anthony Richardson? He's a young guy with some starting experience. He's definitely had some highs and lows and struggles with injuries but what do we have to lose?

2. DK, QB aside, this roster IS NOT, I repeat, IS NOT in shambles, the last few drafts have been solid. Harmon, Black, Wilson, Sawyer, Porter and don't forget this Kent kid defensively. The OL will get the strength of the offense next year, forget a FA WR at this point, let's draft 2, Washington was a hit and Austin was taken for granted until he was hurt! Kaleb Johnson gets a fresh start, this roster cupboard is far from bare imo! 😎

3. Hey DK, I find it convenient that you chose the Patriots example, and didnt mention 2 of the other final 3 teams this weekend, and how they didnt go the Patriots route. It CAN be done without losing a ton of games, then hoping your high qb pick works out.

6. Let Will Howard takes the reins. The way he stepped up in the playoffs when it counted. After that loss to Michigan, he turned it on and won that championship. That can’t be ignored, kid has a fire to him you don’t see often

7. I feel like Mike T drive to win actually hurt the team, stayed to long wouldn't stop doing stuff that didn't work and my Biggest grip was how players were picked and used. Dylan Cook never sees the field if Broderick Jones is healthy.

Most new incoming coaching staffs don’t want a previous staffs QB unless it’s a top tier QB, they’d rather get their own guy that fits what they’re trying to do, it’s not Tomlin’s duty to be worried about the franchise’s future, he knew he was done so he did what he thought would give him the best shot to win this season without compromising the future, did it work, no, but did it leave the franchise in shambles, absolutely not, is it a superbowl contending roster, no, but any coach looking at the Steelers job is not gonna, not want the job because everything is a disaster, yes there is a lot of work that needs to be done, but there are some nice building blocks already in place also, you want to see franchises in shambles for whatever new coaching staff comes in see Cleveland, Vegas, and Arizona lol

9. Has everyone forgotten about Skyler Thompson? Why can’t he compete for stating job? Had a good training camp and great preseason.

10. When you get a new HC, do you get any say on front office positions? All in on Shula and it feels like when we were waiting for ARod in that if it doesn't happen, most of the other options no longer exist and you're screwed.

11. I remember 1-13. I'm all in favor of a terrible season or two to rebuild.

13. The Tomlin hate is so forced. He resigned, it’s not his responsibility to leave the team in a great place. Noll didn’t.

15. Can we please stop with this narrative that Tomlin was the driver of win now mentality. The owner believes that as well. Its organizational and I like it.

16. I guess it depends on the new coach, but we should NOT muddy the waters by bringing in Malik or Fields. It could hinder progress and evaluation of Howard.

17. Do we really need to run down the list of first round quarterbacks Tomlin had only to not win a Super Bowl with in 15 years? I think the number is up to 5 or 6? So people are telling me all those quarterbacks were not good enough for Mike to win….OK! This is why he's gone.

19. Good stuff, DK. Maybe Howard is our Bo Nix, and the new coaching staff tunes up our misguided Defense and running game. We have talent. Then, we can still compete for the sake of Cam and TJ.

20. After Tom Brady and Belichick left the Patriots, the team was really bad. But after a major rebuild over a few years, look at where the Patriots are today. Rebuilding a team takes years. I remember how it took years for Chuck Null to build the Steel Curtain.

21. I think after the draft the new young core of team will be better than people think. I really don’t see us only winning 4 games

22. This roster is not in shambles and I wanted Tomlin gone. But im not going to pile on. If the roster is in shambles he's the best coach in the NFL to get them to 10-7

23. Only thing is… once you're in the cellar, it's sometimes TOUGH TO CLIMB BACK OUT. That's the part of this process that scares me (and many of us) the most. There is no guarantee that there will be a Drake Maye at the end of the proverbial tunnel or how long that will take

24. I totally agree throw Will Howard out there. In reality unless you have a top 3 pick how do you get a QB draft & try draft & try until one hits

25. Will Howard will surprise everyone. Take that to the bank. Just put the guy in to play for crying out loud!

26. DK I think most of the people who actually listen to this podcast are not the casuals that will be upset with only winning 4 games. Most of us here know losing is OK for a season or two

27. Bhah! Tomlin! Let’s move on and move as far away as we can from those who have similar coaching styles! I want NEW everything. Not just new a face!!

28. Most would be relieved that the team is starting to move in the right direction, rather than devoting another season to mediocrity. We want to win, but if the team is doing the right thing for the future and putting in effort on Sunday, we don't mind taking a loss on any given week. I will never be a fan who wants the team to intentionally lose the season to secure a top 5 draft pick; however, if we somehow ended up in that position while demonstrating effort and a desire to win on game days, and with a competent coaching staff that is focused on the future, then I wouldn't mind being near the bottom of the league standings for a year or two.

    Frankly speaking, enduring nearly 10 years of mediocrity is much harder to deal with as a fan.

29. DK I think we as fans are like you said, but what you didn’t say we fans have been disappointed the last few years …

30. Yeah I don't think the team is in shambles either. They got that good young core on defense. Now they will hopefully have coaches that would actually scheme a game plan for their opponents. The future looks bright to me. They will get their guy at qb.

31. When this new coach takes over. We’re gonna find out either Tomlin was grossly underachieving or the opposite, either way there will be change and most people hate change even if it’s needed.

32. Thank you DK. I agree, The team did very well. I hope to see some changes, but it will depend on the new coaches. Making it to the playoffs is no small task. Should we expect to win the Super Bowl every year ? No, but we our over due for a big run. So close, I can taste it, but with necessary changes it may be awhile. Great show DK !

35. You come to the game and scream Fire Tomlin, and when he quits you complain about the state of the team. Would it have been in a better state had he been fired? Shambles? We haven't had a losing season in quite a while. We know nothing of shambles.

36. An exciting time for our beloved STEELERS Franchise. A new HC, a new OC, a new DC. Hopefully Art Rooney II won't screw it up. I have faith in Khan and Weidl to make smart moves going forward. The STEELERS need to cut the dead wood. The next 3-5 years of DRAFT picks are CRUCIAL to make up for past mistakes!

37. You are wrong you can rebuild and still have a winning season. You might not make it to the SB but you can have a competitive team, this losing attitude sucks
