Joined the team halfway through the season and gave it his all. Shoutout CJGJ.

  1. He really was a revelation. Doesn’t have the straight line speed to hang with fast receivers anymore but has nice instincts and a willingness to tackle

  2. I was surprised he contributed as much as he did given his history, and I genuinely didn’t think it’d work out as well as it did

Truth is that he really only landed here because he’s burned basically every other bridge to the teams he was once on. I think he probably realized that and will be a smarter player going forward when it comes to chemistry issues, and he also likes Dennis Allen so that’s a plus

  3. I think we should sign him to play safety if Brisker walks. He was solid in the box and could help with run support

  4. I think there’s a solid chance we could keep him on a good compromise deal (he gets enough money to not feel slighted but it’s overall team-friendly). He’s burned bridges everywhere except on Dennis Allen-coached teams and guess who we have as DC. Allen knows how to use him and give him the playing time he wants but in a way that’s the most effective.

There was a period of time where the only way we could sack the opposing QB was to have CJGJ blitz. Teams eventually caught on but that finally opened the door for Sweat and Booker to start breaking through because the threat of CJGJ barreling in was too great. This threat is still something that is quite useful overall for us.

If he can be a positive headcase and as long as DA stays our defensive coordinator I say keep him and give him a chance to get his ring.

  5. If he continues to be on his best behavior, I’d absolutely bring him back on the cheap. I seriously doubt they’re bringing both Byard and Brisker back and having someone that can play nickel and safety is nice

  6. He was a great mid season pick-up but if I’m being honest I don’t want him as anything but depth. He is a liability in coverage and while he is a willing tackler he’s not very good at it. Maybe as a 3rd saftey/ depth but I am hoping for better.

  7. He brings an energy on the field that doesn’t get televised. He’s out there dancing and hyping up the next defensive play. You can tell he’s having fun. That great energy to have on your side.

  8. In sorry I hated you for being mean to Javon wims and Anthony Miller, you were far more useful than both. (Except rookie szn Miller he was nice)
