  5. Edit: I was wrong, other HC’s have addressed the season ticket holders. I think the difference is I didn’t care or was highly skeptical. There’s a ton of work to be done and I don’t expect to be thrilled with every move that gets made, but I’m much closer to believing in this franchise then I can remember in the last 15 odd years. This letter hits.

  18. Previous head coaches said those words as part of their press conferences. And we were all fooled by it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me ~~twice~~ ~~thrice~~ too many times to count, shame on me. It just hits different this time around because Harbaugh has proven those words to be true. Everyone before him and after TC were snake oil salesmen.

Nothing against John, but I feel like I’ve heard “we’re going to have a team with players who are smart, tough, and dependable” or some variation thereof from every coach of this team in the last 20 years. Just once–just once–I’d like to hear one of our head coaches say “we are going to have a team with good players”.
