  6. Charles London firing is HUGE. Aaron Curry too. They were given a shot, and did terribly. Love to see it

  10. for anyone else who doesn’t memorize the coaching staff, these are all assistant coaches with the following titles:

    quarterbacks

    defensive line

    defensive assistant

    senior assistant/pass game coordinator

    linebacks

    defensive assistant / nickel

  12. Glenn right now :Mr. Johnson told me to talk to payroll and then payroll told me to talk to Mr. Johnson and I still haven’t received my paycheck and he took my stapler and he never brought it back and then they moved my desk to storage room B and there was garbage on it..

  13. Finally. The defensive staff was one of the worst ever assembled and London was just a pathetic hire.

  14. I’m glad they got rid of London as QB coach maybe they can get an actual former QB as Qb coach. Maybe ask Chad Pennington to come as QB coach. He didn’t have the strong arm but he was smart.

  15. Aaron Glenn is the one firing these people for all those calling for his head. He gave dudes a shot, they failed and he held them accountable. He’s deserving of a lot of criticism, but this is a Glenn W. We’ll see what it equates to on the field.

  19. We should be pleased to see this. It shows AG is willing to change. Perhaps he felt the coaches were inadequate or perhaps they were wilks guys. Either way it a good sign they are attempting to address things.

  21. The defensive firings make sense considering there is going to be a new defensive play caller, but I’m curious to see who the new quarterbacks coach is going to be.

  23. Firing defensive coaches makes sense, they were at risk once Wilks got fired. I wonder if doing this now is an indication they’re close to hiring a DC.

    Firing the QB coach and Passing game coordinator is very interesting. From the surface it looks like a shot across the bow at Engstrand, but I wonder if something deeper is brewing.

  25. Glad they moved on from guys who weren’t working out, and I’m glad about the London move because hopefully we can bring in a better QB coach for whoever we draft this year, and let him get settled before 2027 & we try to bring in the franchise starter.

    THAT SAID…It doesn’t really bode well for Aaron Glenn that he hired a bunch of guys and we had to fire them all a year later. After his years in the league knowing what good coaching looks like, and his years being a coach to hopefully also be able to weed out the good coaches from bad, that he & the front office essentially whiffed on 60-70% of their hires in year 1 makes it a bit hard to think they’ll do a great job finding replacements.

    Fingers crossed that they figure it out, but please go find some Josh McCown-ish ex-NFL QB who can come in here & really coach up the new guy(s) we’ll be signing/drafting, particularly in 2027 if we get our supposed franchise QB next April (2027).

    I know he already has a day job, but one guy I’d love to have them bring on as a Senior Consultant to just work like 50% of the time & help the new QBs out would be Ryan Fitzpatrick. You know that he’s smart (Harvard), and being a moderate talent at QB, he had to outwork guys & do the little things to make the most of his skills since he wasn’t a 6’5″ dude with a canon of an arm.

  26. I hope we get Jim Leonard as DC. He was the on the field signal caller under Rex’s most dominate defenses if you recall.  He’s currently the Broncos DB coach.
