Which UFA’s will the Winnipeg Jets Trade?
The Winnipeg Jets have many players on expiring contracts this season. With it likely they’ll miss the post season, it would be wise to sell. Will they capitalize on their assets?

Who do YOU think will be traded before the deadline?
Cole perfetti needs to go doing nothing!!
all B.S !!!
I would Trade Stanley, we cannot let him leave for nothing like Ehlers. Honestly not sign and trading Ehlers was probably the Jets worst mistake.
For years the Jets have been looking for a second line center. It took Toews a while to get up to speed but now he is performing like a solid second line center so why would we trade him? Much the same with Stanley, who, frankly, is playing better than Sanberg.
I'd trade Stanley, Schenn, Namestnikov, Pearson and Nyquist for whatever we can possibly get. I'd keep Nino (important and at times deadly 3rd liner with size, and term remaining) and Toews, who is REALLY coming into form as of late (took a while) and if he agrees to re-sign, will be an important part of a return to contender next year hopefully. This version of Toews we've seen over the past few weeks is exactly the second line centre we've been looking for…he just wasn't present while we were pissing away the first half of the season.
Jet need to get assest for the future. We have a very bad prospect pool, so moving ufas and old players for prospects or picks will help. With that they will have cap space for free agency
I think peg city hockey can make a dent in the lineup
Keep stanley. No. Do not trade him.
Trade Demelo, Bad stats, but being a good guy doesn't make you a good player.
I would love nothing more than have Toews sign with the Jets for 3 years . Which would be reasonable . I could also see him as part of personnel if he retires . The other guys mentioned could be sellers or traders .
I'd keep Koepeke and try to trade all of the others listed.
Order of priority
1. Stanley (highest potetnial return)
2. Schenn
3. Nyqust (just waive him)
4. Toews
5. Nino
6. Pearson
7. Namestikov
8. Koepke.
They should listen on
Take anything higher than packages
1. Stanley= 2nd+
2. Demelo 2nd+
3. Neidereitter=3rd+
4. Iafallo=2nd
5. Schenn/Miller= 4th/5th just to move on let Philips,Salmonsson play.
6. Namestnikov= 3rd
7. If Toews wants to go Colorado or a top team move him.
Get whatever you can for Nyquist,Pearson,Heinola,Koepke,Lambert.
Guys I'd be interested in/teams that's fit guys
1. Stanley-expected get 5m per year he's 27 teams like SJ,Philly,LA.
2. Demelo fits Dallas 2nd pair Harley
3. Rest whoever takes them
Toews fits best Edmonton/Colorado/Dallas/Tampa.
-others I'd throw in deals if player is good Barlow,Lambert,Chibrikov,He.
I would like jets try and get
1. Barrett Hayton 25yr old Center RFA
2. Brennan Othmann 23yrs old might be cheaper.
3. Younger guys like Mintyukov,Cristall,Poitras,ConnorGeekie,Savoie,Firkus,Wright,Kasper,NateDanielson.
Younger forwards because I see us taking Keaten Verhoeff with 1st rounder if he's taken Carels.
Why you may ask? When Stenberg/Mckenna/Lawrence are there?
* Because when we got team back 2011 they stated they wanted to be like the 2000S Predators teams goalie and defence out.
Now Mckenna/Stenberg could be great but are wingers they are easier to find than 1C/2C/1B. But defenceman who's RHD 17yrs old 6'4 215pounds from western canada or Carels 17yr old from Manitoba can be on the team 15yrs solid top 4 guys maybe top 2 in Verhoeff case. I could even see him making impact soon not like Boumedienne,Freijs,Salmonsson but like Schaefer,Sanderson,Power,Hughes,Hutson.
I'd still keep Freijs,Boumedienne because your never sure if at 29yrs old Samberg re signs I feel it be easier aquire Younger talent grow them or move Samber in a year or 2 for a 2C and move Salmonsson or Verhoeff on team.
Gab Vilardi should be 2c on a line with Perfetti.
Would love to see some trades for prospects or higher picks, but rn I’m feeling like what’s the point? Chevy doesn’t seem to want to play any prospects. They come up, fill in a spot for a game or two, show good potential, then get sent back down instead of being given a shot over underperforming veterans with no points in how many games. They’ll all just ask for a trade to go play on a team that will give them a fair shot. Chevy is hindering the prospects progress to play at the NHL level.
Stanley is better than Samberg🙌
The thing that bugs me the most about Stanley is even though he doesn’t fit well here or as much as you can argue that, you just know he’ll probably be a decent defenseman elsewhere and it’ll bite us in the ass. Lose/lose, I really like the guy and want him to do well, but on our team, not someone else’s lol
Trade Perfetti, Toews, Schenn, Namesnikov, Lowry. All slow and underperforming. If jets could get a solid second line centre for all of them and then fill the lines with young moose players, we’d be a much better team. Only players who should stay off the table is the top line Vilardi, Mourrisey and Hellebuck! Ditch the players who are putting you anywhere near the salary cap. Our team is too old and needs to be rejuvenated.
Why does Schenn want a more competitive team, he’s the worst defender on the team right now and it’s not even close. I want to keep Stanley just because he is big. We need more size on the team.
Stanley has passed Samberg as far as being an impact player. No, Stanley is not easily replaceable and probably not replaceable at all actually
Do Jets fans actually think Stanley has "arrived"? He's a number 5-6 having a good year. He's also one of the least intelligent and gooniest guys in the league. It's Tyler Myers, but he takes more dumb penalties and the offense is always bad, instead of just situationally bad lol
Stanley must go!
The screenshot shows the Jets 6 standings points behind the Kraken for the nearest available playoff spot ( 0:28 ). That said, on regular-season games played from last October, the Kraken have a game in hand over the Jets although even if the Kraken didn’t, the Jets‘ struggles in November and December have taken them from being in a playoff spot to be outside of one. This season is one that I see more as an opportunity to trade for draft picks at least to pivot towards the future.
Late last November, Jim Rutherford, the President of the Canucks, claimed that his team had been open for business, and he had likely figured out the Canucks were going to go nowhere other than maybe down in the NHL standings. The Jets and Canucks will end their respective seasons having each lost at least 10 straight games. Between those two teams, I had predicted the Canucks would likely finish below third in their division while I had predicted the Jets would likely finish top-3 in their own division or come pretty close to doing so. Of all Canadian NHL teams, I see this season’s Jets as so far the most disappointing, considering pressure on them to at least qualify for a conference final and that at one point in the regular season having dropped to at least 10 standings points out of a playoff spot.
ALL!
