2019 was a rough year for the Blue Jays, however there were some gems such as this.
It was Justin Smoak's last year, signaling the end of the old guard and the rebirth of the team with the new kids on the block.
Vladdy and Bichette were called up this year, and it was Charlie Montoyo's first season with the Jays, replacing John Gibbons.
Although the Blue Jays ended the year with 67 wins and 95 losses for a .414 winning percentage, at least we can say we weren't as bad as the Orioles that year.
Flashback to 2019 with Cavan Biggio's Cycle

I was such a Biggio stan going into 2021
It sucks that the league figured out Cavan. Those first 159 games across 2019-2020 he put up 4fWAR, 24 HRs, 107 runs and was an absolute on base machine.
He was as good as Bo and better than Vladdy those first couple of years.
Biggio for Fisher ended up being an absolute Atkins masterclass.
That was sick
The Cavan Biggio “hit for the cycle” bobblehead is very rare, because they only gave it away at the online Winter Fest during Covid.
The Jeff Frye cycle was posted recently and this one is way better! I hope Frye bought the opposing right fielder dinner that night because that was a real gift
Interesting how Vlad is now the only player from our sons of superstars trio left now.
I wanted Biggio to be good for us so bad
Vladdy asking for the ball. Always paying attention, always knows what going on. THAT is a fucking teammate
I still miss him. I feel really bad that he doesn’t really get to play ball anymore. I’m sure it’s not what he’d hoped or planned for.
🎵 Cavan is a Biggio and Cavan gets hits 🎵
I was at a game where he tied or took the lead with a homer in the 7th or 8th. The reason I don’t have more details is because the game sucked until he did that and I was pickled.
Top of the 9th with two outs
Just squeezed that triple in under the wire
Why was the place so empty, rain delay or something?
I had such high hopes for Biggio but it just never fully came together for him. I think there’s an alternate universe where he’s a top of the order bat who could get on base a lot and have some pop.

He had 5 ABs. Anyone ever hit for a cycle + a walk?
Really bummed how his bat declined year by year.
Wanted to see a big 3 with him, vladdy and bo for years to come
Man, I was a major Biggio believer early on. There’s a big part of me that’s very sad we couldn’t pull a Braves and sign him, Lourdes, Bo and Vladdy early on. But of course in hindsight I’m glad we didn’t lol
Remember Montoyo? I certainly don’t miss him.
Miss CB. Wish he would’ve been able to stay here long enough to experience the WS with Vladdy and Bo.
