  8. Where was Rich Paul when AD was getting traded out of LA? Surely he had to at least know of the deal before it was finalized?

  10. If he wants to get moved he’s going to need to convince a team to trade for him and that likely means committing to opt out of the player options after next season for a more team friendly extension.

  14. I say do it.. the Poeltel contract is HORRIBLE, but way more manageable than AD, and we can flip one guy who barely plays for another so we already used to that.

    the key is they HAVe to take Hardy, and Exum in the deal. if my math is right after all said and done, the Mavs can save 11 million, sign Nembhard and Cisse and see what we have with those two. Gafford and Russell can potentially be used for a future deal.

    it’s time to just get out from under this AD contract any way we can. sure id like to get some picks, but I just. dont see it happening. trading an albatross of a contract for one REALLy bad one may be our only avenue. that’s IF Toronto even accepts. I just want Nembhard and Cisse signed in any of these manuevers. Poeltel may not even play, and we are already used to ONE big never playing so let’s make the best of it.

    We all know what this really is. His best chance of getting another fat payday off AD is with a different franchise, because he knows the Mavs damn sure won’t be handing out that max for a gimpy player if they weren’t gonna do it for the league points leader.

    I don’t see the value of a deal with Toronto that doesn’t involve Quickley routed to another team for cap relief. And I don’t see Toronto angling for a deal that isn’t built around the Mavs eating Poetl and Barrett.
