  1. These rumors are very interesting however I'm guessing Breslow might have a plan that we aren't even thinking about. However it was telling that it could a second basemen instead of third. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens 🤞⚾

  2. Corbin, you aren't the biggest clickbaiter, but you tend to read too much into press conferences. The RS are second time luxury tax offenders. Next year the RS will be third time offender with several big free agents getting raises. The RS will be in deep crap paying large tax penalties for the same players. At some point the RS will be forced into bad trades giving up trade chips to reduce costs. Their farm system has been weakened by the Gray and Oviedo+ prospect promotions.

  3. What’s not to love about Ranger addition? You wanted a #2 starter and you got one! You not loving it is tied to another trade? Sounds like you’re looking for something to complain about. I think it’s absolutely fantastic !

  4. I was sold on your idea of Jacob Wilson during the live stream last night. I for one think we are holding way too tight onto our prospects. I hope Breslow believes there are a total of 2 players on this team that are untouchable, Anthony and Crochet. Everyone else, everyone could be had for the right package.

  5. All I heard was "we're going to invest in pitching and defense so we no longer need to spend a ton of money on offense". And to say our pitching staff is a "juggernaut" is just wrong lol. Suarez was just on the Phillies where he was their number 4, and now their number 4 is our number 2………..that means our pitching staff is actually quite putrid. Depth means nothing if none of them are that good lol.

  6. I was afraid they were going to go the route of selling "run prevention". It's like 2016 all over again. Bleh! Are we also going to get a new position that is over President of Baseball Operations that's going to be filled by someone more like Dombrowski too? Did John Henry learn nothing?

  7. Would love to see the Red Sox trade Christian Campbell to the Marlins in exchange for 2B Xavier Edwards. Might as well go all in on run prevention – Edwards provides no power, but is an above average defender at 2B and has good bat-to-ball skills and speed.

  8. Corbin I'm actually on board with bringing back boggy his game is perfect for Boston & if SD picks up $75 mil or so it's definitely worth it but what would Thay want back? Eating $75 mil is a ton so Thay probably want something

  9. I would love for them to get Marte, but if that doesn't happen, im ok with Donovan at 2b. He's a gold glove LF who plays an average 2b and 3b. Versatile player. I believe if he plays a full season, he will excel and hit 15 to 18 homers. Donovan is a prototypical number 2 hitter.

  10. I think Suarez’s contract was backloaded to pay him a lot more starting in year three because there are two years left on Trevor Story’s contract at $25 million per year, two years left on Masataka Yoshida’s contract at $18.6 million per year, two years left on Willson Contreras’ contract at $17.25 million per year (when accounting for the $8 million from the Cardinals in the trade), and two years left on Jordan Hicks’ contract at $12.5 million per year. That’s $73.35 million off the Red Sox payroll starting in 2028.

  11. I think you hit the nail on the head but didn't even realize. I think "we want to prioritize defense" = we are out on Eugenio Suarez. But i don't think it's much deeper than that.

  12. Hey Corbin at this point with who is left for players I think Brendan Donavan is the best fit he has good glove and he is more or less a utility man and has more power than Nico maybe they trade Connelly early in Franklin Arias and they throw in Yoshida venue pick up Suarez make him your DH that way Marcelo can play Third now you've solved your problem of losing Alonso because now you will be using Suarez just for his Bat and you still have good defense at 2nd and 3rd Base I think that would be our best competitive team for 2026 at this point right now I know the Red Sox would never do it but that would be the smartest idea in my opinion only
