  1. Gomez is kind of a clown who has been wrong in the past, but he does have legitimate Dominican sources including Jose, so putting specific numbers out there like this would be surprising if not true. Taking this with a grain of salt until it’s reported otherwise, but would be very exciting.

  2. We don’t deserve him.

Well…… actually, I take that back. We, the fans, do deserve him.

I’m not sure the organization (Dolan) does but we do.

  3. I don’t trust anything Gomez says but Nightengale also said but he’s also kind of an idiot.

If this is true though, then holy shit I adore this man

  4. Original extension ran through the end of Dolan’s tenure, maybe this is Blitzer’s first move as an owner? A good sign if so.

  5. Isn’t this the same dude who would make up rumors just for BS? Like the other pitchers will be tried shit.

Nah I’ll wait till an actual legitimate sportscasters say something. Or one of the Guardians beat writers.

  6. I love that he’s staying but he’s one of the best in the league and could get so much more

    Dolans don’t deserve him

  7. I never thought I’d see us keep a start player from start to finish of their career in my lifetime. I love this.

  8. So this basically means we’re tapped out as our big free agent signing for the next 7 years now? /s

  9. Pretty cool we are all witnessing the best player in Cleveland baseball history. Dude deserves a 24 hour standing ovation at the home opener. Don’t even play the game. Just let Jose stand there and then everyone goes home

  10. Jose is literally like a dog. We don’t deserve their loyalty and love.

Words can’t describe how much I love this man. I consider it a blessing that I get to sit here and watch this man’s hall of fame career unfold in real time for what is today dirt cheap. In a world full of dudes wanting the biggest bags and brightest lights and then there’s Jose, who lives for a small but mighty Jose chant carrying through the night of a small blue collar city on the lake.
