Why think the game will be low-scoring? New England has the #3 offense by DVOA, and scored 28 points against the best defense in the league in lousy weather. Denver's defense is good, but not nearly as good as Houston's.

He’s just making this up for a contrarian point. Nobody knows what the dropoff to qb2 is going to be unless you’re on the team and have been working with the qbs all year, sometimes not even then. Losing a qb1 in the playoffs is about as bad as it gets for any team though. 95% of the time you’re headed to Cancun 8 days later.
Id have picked the Pats even with Nix in there but think it would be close. Now it’s probably a 2-3 score game.
