  1. Warsofsky proving yet again that any success the team has is absolutely in spite of (not because of) his coaching. "The game of hockey hasn't changed in 100 years," this man says. He has the balls to say that if you want to win there's a certain way you have to play, and it's the same as it has always been!

So, let's look at how Florida played for their back to back Stanley Cup victories. Now let's compare that to how Colorado played. Compared it to how Pittsburgh played. Tampa, Washington… And now let's compare that to 90s Detroit, 80s Oilers. Compare that to hockey in 1926.

None of these things are the same. Recent champions have played dramatically different styles of hockey. This coming after Crosby single-handedly changed the way hockey has been played by showing all of today's young talent that pure skill DOES translate to the NHL, when people used to believe you couldn't pull that off with a 220 lb man bearing down on you at full speed. But even before that, 90s hockey made 80s hockey look like a JOKE sport.

Not only has hockey changed SO MUCH in 100 years that it's unrecognizable as the same sport, it is continuing to evolve rapidly. If he can't see that hockey from 20 years ago is nothing like today's game, he's even less deserving of his position than I already thought.
