  1. Problem with Panarin is, he makes too much money and he's a dog. Perhaps a team will pay the Nelson price but I know I would not! And Nelson is fitting in perfectly in Colorado. Panarin fits nowhere because he's selfish.

  2. I hope Panarin sticks it to Drury and says he won’t waive his no trade clause. If only to get payback for Trouba for the way Drury did Trouba dirty by threatening to send Trouba to the minors if he didn’t accept a trade.

  3. Folks, we have to use a degree of common sense here.

    1. The Rangers GM came out and said they have no interest in resigning Panarin.

    2. The player has a full no movement clause, as Elliott highlights (which gives the player complete control).

Bottom line: If you're a team that is interested in Panarin AND Panarin is interested in you then the only way a deal happens is if Panarin says "ok". The concept here is that there is no way the Rangers are going to get a handsome ransom given the leverage that Panarin has AND that the Rangers lost with their public announcement.

Maybe they get a first and a mid-tier prospect but, if the ask is more than that, why would you pay that for a player that, literally, just a month or two after the season ends is going to be a free agent?

  4. The Rangers can't do a rebuild with Shesterkin in goal. He'll always keep them competitive enough that they won't draft high. So Tkachuk and Ullmark for Lafreniere and Shesterkin? 😅
