Lacob doesn’t deserve Steph
I dunno. That’s a bit vague for me to believe as true.
So many fumbles by the FO. If they were competent Steph would have at least another ring.
Thanks grok
Danm, Marcus is a reliable source when it comes to Steph too. If this is really the case, Steph might view the Warriors the same as Under Armour. MDJ can’t stand pat before deadline.
This doesn’t sound good, but we need more details plus verification. But also, remember, that the vets pushed for Avery Bradley, while the FO went with GP2. And Dray asked for JK and Moody, so players aren’t always right.
We also don’t know what the conversation has been like. Maybe it was quite open and transparent all the way through.
Honestly, we don’t have enough information to judge this.
First, Steph, while our GOAT, probably doesn’t do all the research the FO does and probably doesn’t have full insight into managing a payroll or the salary cap/tax thresholds, etc.
And second, trades take at least 2 teams (often more than 2) to negotiate and agree. Even if the FO wanted to do every trade Steph suggested, they probably couldn’t.
So could it be a signal of internal dysfunction? Yes, it could, but it takes manufacturing a whole scenario that without further information we can’t assume to be true.
So this information leaves me, well kinda not shocked at all. I’d be more shocked if it came out that they executed every trade Steph recommended. So this is probably a non-story.
Sounds like Lacob loves JK or is got a little Jerry Jones in him and feels he sees something in JK I don’t. They’ll eventually trade Steph and Dray for peanuts and we’ll be stuck with an incredibly athletic guy who will not play in the framework of a team or respect the wishes of a 9 time champion. Wants to do things his way. Skip college, skip working his way to the top and just be a star.
Nice speedrun from Joe back to the Cohan-era.
Breaking News: Front Office acts like a front office.
Having Draymond running the offense is why we are always down 15pts in the first quarter.
I don’t think we are in a position where we can negate the negative impact that Draymond has on our offense wo moving him to the bench or to another team.
Kerr hasn’t made the changes necessary to improve this team by sticking with diminished talent.
What I’m saying is if we are trying to win, then we need to be honest with what’s happening here. Draymond is holding us back and Kerr needs to put his faith into players with better motors.
Overpaying for a player like MPJ or Lauri is foolish when you have Draymond running your offense.
Free Curry at this point, my guy wants to win and this organization is not the same no more
How many players make good GMs?
No trade is guaranteed to happen unless Steph has gotten the GM on the other side to agree on already.
TBH they need to start to looking to the future instead of trying to desperately make another title with Kerr-Curry- Dray happen. We should look at what the spurs or the Thunder did and reboot. This weird middle phase the warriors are in is just delaying the inevitable
No concrete proof of this, but thats dumb as hell not yo listen to your STAR FRANCHISE PLAYER
Need more info, plus there’s many examples for superstars trying to GM gone wrong
It’s a hard enough job to do well, let alone when you’re a professional basketball player lol
MJD was such a bad player and the way he conducts himself as a GM is so unearned imo.
He has made some decent draft picks and the Jimmy move was pretty good, but it’s like dude what have you done that makes you feel like you are such a big shot? Feels like he has zero humility, I don’t get.
They aren’t winning another title with Curry anyways, either just accept it and start prepping the farewell tour or trade him to another competitive team.
“Refused” and “not executed by front office” are not the same thing. Refused is this Twitter user’s wording, not in the actual quote.
Thats like saying Steph “refused to shoot a three” … when really Steph shot the 3 and missed thereby “not executing a 3 pt play”
Also, im not a twitter user, so this is an honest question, how legit of a source is the spanish speaking user account w an underscore at the end: @warriorslatim_ Why not just cite the tweet/article where Marcus Thompson says it directly instead of a separate source?

Fuck Mike dunleavy
Maybe time to do a “Free Steph” campaign 😂
as far as I know Marcus thompson is amongst the least reliable sources about Dubs affairs!!
Steph is not the general manager of the team he can suggest but this ain’t drama, it’s totally normal
This is just putting pressure on the FO to do SOMETHING
Where did Marcus say this
What do you mean if this is true?
You think they’ve done right by Steph the last 4 years? You think he was in favor of keeping Wiseman and Kuminga over getting vet help?
Meaningless unless we see some specifics. And that account is clearly spinning a narrative. For all we know Steph proposed something that was literally impossible under the cba or the other team said no or a million other things. I’m sure front offices “refuse” trades proposed by players all the time.
There’s just not enough here to render a verdict. Steph is absolutely on the GOAT but that doesn’t magically make you a good GM. We’ve already seen how this movie plays out with LeGM in the past. Star input matters, but letting players run the trade machine is how you end up paying interest on bad ideas for a decade.
Good. If this is true — a big “if” — then management probably saved Steph from being like LeBron.
Toxic FO and organization.
Those are suggestions the people who write the paychecks need to approve. When you right the checks, you can do what you want.
Players aren’t GMs
And they could provide input. But not make trades themselves
Having your star players demand certain trades and FO execute the moves for them would be chaos
Half this sub wants Steph traded for value and the other half wants him to be the new GM. We are in a fantastic spot mentally.
It’s clear that Steph and the front office haven’t been aligned since their 2022 title and Steph is just too nice. You could read a bit between the lines around each year’s trade deadline. If you think about it, then Kerr “making a stink” with Kuminga makes a lot more sense.
Bullshit
Free Steph Curry! Trade him (and Kerr) to the Spurs
