  1. Such a baffling managerial hire

Hot, young, latin team…let’s hire the octogenarian!

  2. I did this one time with David Ross at Nats Park when he was a player. He bunted as a surprise and beat it out. I was in the 2nd row by the on deck circle and yelled, hey, you gonna bunt again? He shrugged and said, maybe. When he got up he did and was very easily thrown out. I feel like I have at least 0.00000003 WAR for my fan career.

  3. Its like the opposite of that time Boone got tossed because a fan behind him yelled at the up.

  4. One of the biggest lies reddit ever tells is this perception that Tony La Russa ruined the team. They went 93-69 with him as manager in 2021 and went to the playoffs. He was basically .500 the next year when he left and this team has been the worst in baseball since he left.

To me it seems like he elevated the team. The 2021 Tony La Russa season was the White Sox best winning season since 2005. Everyone acts like this team wouldve been a dynasty without him, but nobody else ever produced the win totals he did. After he left, players became broken.
