FIRE STAOIS the Sloth. He acts cheap, redundant, and too little too late.
Guyβs these past two loses have nothing to do with goaltending. To even mention it is a deflection from the glaring defensive mistakes this team makes. Reimer is making all the saves he needs to. Keep blaming it on the goaltending, but youβll find no answers there. Save % is a team stat.
Couldn't even stomach doing the live show, lol, had to wait until today to debrief. The only thing to come out of this is the cold hard truth that it's the team's play that has been sewering the goaltending, not the other way around. Leevi put up a shutout 40 save shut out yesterday — shot volume matters. Goalies been talking about it all season how never seeing the puck and then only having to face high quality chances is VERY hard to play. Watching players STOP skating in our defensive zone shows the relationship between the players and goalies is at an all time low. Goals against is still a TEAM'S responsibility, lol.
And there was just no goal support from the forwards. Lot of guys to call out for not having a decent game but overall the group looked uncompetitive. The maturity issues around what these players feel are bad reffing calls have not improved. We've yet to see the game where they maintain composure. They are one of the most Powerplay awarded teams in the league and they still cry at bad and non calls. They're not going to dig their way out this mess by crying to the refs.
Still love this team, but boy oh boy do we need a hero. Who is the player(s) that beats all this adversity?
Also, shout out to Manti for coming in and having a good game. Klev plays so much better when he's paired with him too.
