On September 12, 1984, Michael Jordan signed his first NBA contract with the Chicago Bulls, a multi-year deal that made him one of the highest‑paid rookies in league history. That afternoon, Jordan went to Wrigley Field for the Cubs game. The first major‑league baseball game he had ever attended.

  1. It’s not surprising that he never went to an MLB game before. He was born in Brooklyn, but moved to Wilmington, NC at five. The closest MLB team to there at the time was the Braves and that’s an almost six hour drive.
