  1. I’m a UK fan. This is what got me into the Leafs in 2006. I was a Jays fan first, started looking into something to watch in the off season and watched back all the early 2000s runs and fell in love with that team (that I never even got to watch live)!

  2. I mean.. The Leafs were 2 games away from making the SCF for the first time in 35 years! The lower bowl isn’t a library during the playoffs

  3. Even that time, it was majority suits. Especially when they moved out of Maple Leaf Gardens.

  4. Hiring JFJ and firing Pat Quinn were horrible decisions, we should’ve kept Quinn in some capacity until he passed away.

  5. I was 9 years old. This was epic for me.

    AND.

I remember the “suits don’t watch the first 10 minutes of the period” talk back then.

I remember the “Muskoka 5” — the line that scored this goal – “is lazy” discourse back then.

Nostalgia is strong. The suits were there, but they got amped up in the conference finals too.

  6. Thats gotta be maddening for goalies. The crowds cheering building like that just willing a goal to happen.

  7. In the playoffs, the lower bowl is normally pretty good – have sat there quite a few times during this era for playoffs, and it’s nothing like the BS we see during the regular season.

Was there last Wednesday sitting behind the benches vs Detroit, and had a woman gently tug at my jersey to ask me to sit down. She didn’t like my response.

  8. Soon signs will be posted at the Leafs arena.

“Please refrain from cheering as the lower bowl guests find the noise unsettling and intruding upon their texting.”

  9. That happens now media and other fans are gonna run their mouths at how immature our fanbase is. Look at the discourse Willy’s finger got by our own fanbase
