Unless there’s a surprise trade, gotta think Acuna is firmly plan A in CF with Hill, Pereira and Baldwin in the mix for reps.
Outfield options have gone from Bader to worse
Let me see the contact info before I have an opinion not getting him.
The team isn’t remotely trying. It’s clear keep cost as low as possible and just see how the next CBA works out. Ishbia cannot come fast enough
Austin Slater
You ARE back to being a Chicago White Sox
But I hardly knew ‘er?
I thought he signed with the Sox and I was so confused with the responses in here. Would have been a nice add
I hear he’s a master
why the hell woudl we sign a relief pitcher for 20M but not try to get Bader after trading Robert Jr???? wtf is this franchise even doing?
There was no way in hell he was signing here anyway.
Feels like Reinsdorf did the old senile man thing where he agreed to a reasonable plan but then woke up one day, completely forgot, and retreated to his worst instincts. Just a really bizarre and disappointing finish to the offseason after a long stretch of promising moves going back to last season.
It was Bellinger/Tucker and everyone else. The Sox are eventually going to have to take a shot at the Bellinger/Tucker tier, even if they have bid higher to make it happen. 100M dollars below an average payroll isn’t cutting it. Especially when we the loophole of deferred deals is available to abuse.
Welp.
I wouldn’t hate re-signing Tauchman to teach the youngsters about OBP and hitting for average.

Bader
Don’t care.
Bader was the last true CF left in free agency.
