Oh good, publicizing gift registries is becoming a thing 🙄 I was really worried that with all this attention from new fans, we were becoming the cash register tabloid trash team of the league. But The Sun would never contribute to toxic parasocial relationships, right?
Like, I’m really glad our local sports media has learned from how it treats the Leafs that only good things come from putting a magnifying glass on players’ personal lives: it makes the players play better, makes the team play better, and helps foster a fair and rational fanbase that never overreacts or chases players out of the city.
It’s not like Bo had a batshit crazy stalker trying to infiltrate his life every fucking moment he was in the city.
Grats to the Lauers, though.
