Is Chaim Bloom missing the boat on a Brendan Donovan trade or are you glad he's playing hardball for him?
Play hardball.
Hard to say since we don't know who's offered what. But he should get a pretty decent haul for him or just hold on.
Lukan Baker could receive an invite to red bird spring training as a right handed bat, and keep Donovan. That way when Walker can't lay off the Slurve, Burleson can move to right Field and Baker could DH or play first, and Donovan in left.
It's not erupt or cheer because if we don't trade him now we will trade him later. I want a 5 year extension.
He should try to package him with either JoJo or Not or both. I think you could get a real good deal for that.
Play hardball.
Sign Donovan to a generous 5 year contract.
Cardinals fans see Brendan Donovan as a key to this rebuild.
He’s a talented player, leader and has wisdom beyond his years.
Send Lars to LA and keep Donnie and JoJo.
Keep Donovan, but trade JoJo, Nootbar, and Pages for prospects. Sign right-handed power hitting left fielder on a 1-year deal. Andujar, Hays, Grichuk, and Castellanos still available. Let's try to win the Central, instead of thinking who we can trade at the deadline.
Start rumors about trading away Walker and Gorman for a right-handed power hitting outfielder, JD. That would help StL more than any trade of Donovan.
I hope they keep him, he doesn’t want to leave!
They need to sign him long-term, four or five years. It would make a lot of sense.
Wow, that was some serious technical difficulties. I think all I saw was 5 stills of JD for the entire show! 😂
I'm in the camp of keep and extend Donnie. Like was said, I feel like he is the solid piece on and off the field that you want to build around. Break out the checkbook, Chaim!
If JJ has a stellar spring training then I am good with him breaking camp with the Cards. He mashed at AA and AAA both last year, so I don't think he would be affected the same way Jordan Walker was. If he doesn't mash in ST then send him back to Memphis and let him marinate a little more. I don't want to rush him any, I want him to be the superstar the Cards need.
Keep Him!! I get the business side of this, but he is a great player that fits the old school cardinal style of baseball.
I'm crying about Bader. Should have never let him go. Keep Noot and Don. Glad to see the Birds fertilizing the farms. I am liking the direction Mr. Bloom is moving. Keep strutting boss.
Walker sounds like a wash Gorman is awesome if he can hit
