wilson wasn’t my first choice for DC but look at the roster he had to work with and outside of simmons it’s not really anything
bowen should be out of the league he was that bad and was a bad choice when we had to settle on him a couple of years ago, wilson is not that
our defense actually looked competent with bullen taking over, with wilson it should be even better and not to mention he’s done most of his work with the secondary (aka the part of our defense that needs the most work)

i like his work with the ravens dbs and the fact he had that unit as a not bottom 10 defense is a testament

Simmons hit double digit sacks and was named 1st team All-Pro this season, both were firsts for him. Dex comeback year incoming.
I think he’ll do better with us just because we have more talent then the titans had, but for anyone wondering titans ranked in 2025 21st this year in total yards allowed, 23rd in passing, and 15th in run defense. Allowed the 28th most PPG.
In 2024 they were 2nd in total yards allowed, 2nd in passing gas, but were 26th in rushing defense.
I see he had that stud Haddi Ward tho. If you can’t win with that, you can’t win.

After the year Simmons just had, I’m really hoping he gets Dex back to being himself again. If we can get back pre-2024 injury Dexter Lawrence it’s a game changer.
I think there were other hires where I would have felt better about the floor, some others i would have felt better about the ceiling, but this one could definitely work.
For those who are just Giants fans and aren’t as plugged into the NFL, this isn’t Bowen all over again just because he’s from the Titans. I HATED the Bowen hire right away, he always struck me as a bad coach. I actually wanted Dennard Wilson instead when Bowen was hired (if I remember right, the Giants interviewed him back then).
I’m mixed on the job Wilson did in Tennessee, but he didn’t have a lot to work with. Like I said, it’s not guaranteed, but I think this can work.
Can we get Simmons to come with him!?

Titans also traded away a very good corner a couple months ago just for everyone that didnt know
Glad to see Sebastian Joseph-Day is still getting meaningful reps in the league, but as a *starter*? Good lord that roster needs a lot of work……
Pretty sure the titans had more sacks than the giants this past year and the giants definitely had better talent.
The last titans DC we had worked out so great…
That’s what I was telling y’all as a Titans fan. This is what he had to work with. Some of these names look like they were made from a random name generator.
Look at THAT roster and compare it to yours – if you can name your front 7 guys and your EDGE/CB, Wilson will figure out how to make it work. You guys are in good hands.
