[Greg Auman] Asked about running the pistol often in Atlanta, Zac Robinson says his offense is built around McVay principles with a run/pass balance under center.

  1. I think it’s what the QB is most comfortable and options he has. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does more screens with us.

  2. True marriage under center – “obviously we’ll pick and choose our spots for when we do that”. Dude is blowing smoke on day 1 because hes seen the backlash for his system.

  3. If he’s smart, willing to adapt, and get a little more creative with the play calling, then I think this could end up becoming a good hire for us. I liked how he said he talks to Coen and McVay often, I think he could be a good OC for us as long as he shows an ability to adapt better than he did in Atlanta (where to be fair, I don’t think it was a great scheme fit in general).

  4. I don’t care if we run under center or pistol or whatever. It should not be so difficult to scheme an offense with 4 fucking good to great WRs and a great pass catching RB and have someone open.

  5. So this confirms Bowles is behind all the bullshit under center runs for 2nd and 9 we’ve endured all these years. Cool. Football terrorist.
