  1. I know he had success at LSU, but anyone who has been part of Matt Rhule staff should not be taken seriously

  2. Surprised by this. I think he’s an average OC, but I think his offensive play calling leaves a lot to be desired and is overly vanilla. Yes Josh Allen has had his best seasons with him at OC, and I would assume they have a great relationship, but just surprised to see them hire in house since the McDermott firing signaled to me that they were wanting a major shift.

  3. I mean, I’m happy for Joe Brady, but this feels like the wrong hire for a win now team. It wasn’t that long ago that he was in over his head as an coordinator.

  15. He seemed like a decent OC, but I never would have thought he would be a HC. I certainly don’t understand making him the HC at Buffalo. If you asked me who I wanted as HC between the two, I’m picking McDermott every time. Also, if you’re getting rid of McDermott because you’re not satisfied with his performance, you’ve got to go full reset and start with a clean slate. This is all just so weird.

  18. I’m confused by everyone calling him a bad OC. He was promoted to OC mid-season after they fired Ken Dorsey. They immediately got better in every metric and finished the season 6-1 under his offense!

    This season they were the #4 scoring offense in the league! Same in total yardage!

    Like what are you guys talking about?

    Brady is an ascending young coach and they wanted to keep him in-house. Ravens fans are distraught because they kept Harbaugh and let future HC Mike McDonald walk to Seattle. The Bills didn’t want to make the same mistake.

  19. I knew he’d get a HC job one day. Not necessarily on merit but once he was so quickly scooped up after Carolina I knew it to be true.

  20. All this tells me is that Beane and Brady has been conspiring against McDermott for a while.
