Absolutely. My buddy was making excuses before the last game and I called him out on it and he doubled down. Once Nix was ruled out, he again already had excuses in place for this one too.
I guess if your team is good at losing, you get used to making up excuses why the shit the bed.
Idk if Nix would’ve won that game. Better odds than Stidham of course, but that snow equalized everything
I mean I didn’t think it was out of the realm of possibility. I’ve not been a big believer in New England’s offense and I figured there was a good chance their defense would be able to keep it close, especially at home. You get a couple of breaks go your way and you’re in business. Unfortunately for them a lot of the breaks went against them and they weren’t able to capitalize on the ones that did go their way.
This team was always luck-based from the get-go. Pats deserved to beat the Jackasses.
Couldn’t happen to a better franchise
Had a donkeys fan come pick a fight with me over something I said about their team in a conversation that didn’t even involve them over on bsky like a month ago. This goober was looking to be mad at something and play up the whole nobody believes in thing.
We had a bit of a back and forth with him almost always responding immediately like he’s waiting around for me, and it was getting funny to me how desperately they were trying to rage bait me. For example, dude was riding high after the game last weekend and immediately had a “let me add the AFC championship ticket to my apple wallet real quick” queued up after the game ended.
By the time I saw his response the news about Nix’s injury was already spreading far and wide. So I grabbed a link to it and said “Celebrating prematurely are we? My aren’t we brave”. He had some mad and slightly unintelligible responses but I let it be after that.
Well today, after I realized the game was over and they lost, I decided to check back in with him with a hey and link to my premature celebration response. Man did it feel good
Now I realize my little story has a “sure buddy , that happened” feel to it. You don’t have to upvote me. I don’t care. I said all that to say it just felt so good to rub that inevitable loss in a cocky ass donkey fans’ face. Fuck the raiders, sure. But man, I fucking hate the broncos so much more. Let’s get another streak started on them next season. Go Chiefs
Karma for hiring Sean Peyton.
Honestly all they had to do was not go for it and kick a FG when I was screaming at the TV that points were going to be real hard to come by and they would have had a better chance. But that’s just me. What do I know (apparently more than Trash ass Payton).
Already the “this season was actually successful/we overachieved” cope is underway. And yes there is some truth to that, but if they miss the playoffs next year or get bounced in the WC they will be talking about how they wasted their opportunity in 2025 lol.
Outcome wouldn’t have been much different with Bo
Payton blew all that smoke up the fan base and the media’s ass. You’ll see..you watch, mmk. That whole fan base believed all that BS . Now all ya hear is, they beat a backup. They’re so starving for relevancy.
I thoroughly enjoyed that game (snow, difficult yards, low score, missed field goals, etc.) except for the fact one team was playing with a backup qb. Anyway…go Seahawks!
