No. I am strictly ANTI-BULLDOG and only want players from Idaho.
Wouldn’t mind it at all.
As a UGA fan who has watched every snap he’s played: I think he’d be a good mid to late round guy, but I would be nervous penciling him in as a starter early on in his pro career based on what I saw in college. Too many mental lapses, and when he screws up it is usually pretty ugly (not that its any different for most DBs, but still).
To take Lassiter as a comparison, I’d say Daylen is maybe 60% of the pass defender Kamari was in college and like 30% of the run defender that Kamari was (to be fair, Kamari was one of the best corners in run defense I’d ever seen). Of the “#1 Corners” that Kirby has had in Athens over 10 years, Daylen is probably somewhere in the 5th or 6th best range.
All that said, he does have some positives: good leader and character in the locker room, plays his best in the biggest games and has good tape against top college wideouts, and most of the time he’s in good position. Would be a good special teams player and provide a lot of value as a 4th or 5th DB if we’re able to get him with a later pick.
Is it appropriate for a grown man to call another grown man “well built, perfectly proportional?”
There are a lot better CBs that didn’t go to the Senior bowl…
Hell yes I want him here. Hes physical at POA, but still has great technique and cover skills in space.
Having watched every UGA game of his career, I’d think taking him with our round 2 pick is a big reach, I’d be happy with him in round 3, and I’d be thrilled if he was still there for our round 4 pick. He got a lot better over time between his early playing days and his last 2 seasons as the CB1 on the team.
But if there is someone else that we’d view as a day 1 starter with our 2nd round pick, then I’d be totally fine if we went that direction.
I think he’ll go higher than most the boards have him projected. His issue though is he does like to gamble a lot. It can lead to a big INT or getting burned.
I would daylen everette with our 3rd, he is great, regardless of the fact that he played for UGA
