    Personally, I think the Toddfather had something to do with this player's rebirth into an valuable asset.

23. Chiarot's time in Detroit has been up and down since he got here, but this year has been a culmination of what he brings and means to the team. It seems like he has really settled into this stabilizing-grounded force in that D-core surrounded by youth and up and coming talent. It's almost like having a coach on the ice and he has definitely earned this extension. I also really think he said the right things about Detroit. Congrats to Ben Chiarot on the extension and leading by axample.
